February 2024

As a Church, and as individuals we are entering a new era in our
lives. Robert has been called to a Ministry elsewhere, and we have
to commence the search to find a Moderator to guide us in the
search for a replacement. These will be challenging times for us as
we seek to discern God’s Will for us as regards our future.

The Diaconate have already met with our Area Minister, Rev. David Mayne, to
discuss the prospects of future ministry and the process of seeking out a suitable
candidate. This can be an exciting time for us and a demanding one as we inter-
view possible candidates to seek to establish their suitability for us, and whether
or not we will be the type of church they will be able to work with for the future.
Ministry is a two way proposition, both minister and church will need to work
together, pulling in the same direction, reaching out to those in need, both within
and outside the fellowship.

Times when we meet together will become important, whether just as times of
fellowship, Church Meetings to discuss progress, or most importantly times for
Bible Study and Prayer. Praying will need to become an important part of our lives
as we search for a replacement for Robert. Our lives together will be strengthened
as we come together to pray and seek God’s Will for our church during this time of
interregnum. Please join with us for our weekly Zoom meeting on Thursday
evenings when we will have an opportunity to pray together seeking the Lord’s
guidance, and remembering the needs of our fellowship.
